What Should a Small Business Website Include?

WebsitesBy Moms Media TeamPublished 25 October 2026

Most small business websites don’t need dozens of pages. They need a few pages that answer customer questions quickly.

Most small business websites don’t fail because they’re missing fancy features. They fail because a visitor can’t answer basic questions within a few seconds: what do you do, is it for me, and how do I reach you?

Start with the questions customers ask

Before deciding on pages, write down the questions people ask you on calls and WhatsApp. Prices, timings, location, how long something takes, whether you serve their area. Your website should answer those clearly.

The pages most businesses need

  • Home page that says what you do and who it’s for in the first screen
  • Services or products, ideally one page per main service so each can be found in search
  • About page with real details about the business and the people behind it
  • Contact page with a form, phone, WhatsApp and address if customers visit you
  • Proof of your work: photos, examples or genuine reviews, if you have them

Details that quietly matter

Make your phone number tappable on mobile. Keep timings and address identical everywhere they appear online. Use real photos where you can. Make sure every page has a clear next step, not just the contact page.

What you can skip at the start

You don’t need a blog with fifty posts, animations on every section or a chatbot on day one. A focused site that loads fast and answers questions is a better starting point. You can add more once you know what customers actually look for.
